a crisp Belgian pilsner with a pale golden color, light malt sweetness, floral hop character, gentle bitterness, and a clean, dry finish. Smooth and refreshing, it pairs well with pizza, seafood, chicken, charcuterie, and lighter dishes. Stella Artois traces its roots to the Den Hoorn brewery in Leuven, Belgium, founded in 1366. Brewer Sebastian Artois became the brewery’s master brewer in the early 1700s and later purchased it, giving the brand the Artois name. The beer known as Stella Artois was introduced in 1926 as a special Christmas lager, with “Stella” meaning “star” in Latin. Its popularity eventually turned the seasonal release into a year-round beer. Today, Stella Artois is one of Belgium’s most internationally recognized lagers, known for its European pilsner style and distinctive chalice presentation.
